A new study could offer new clues about a potential cause of long COVID-19 symptoms.

The small study by Massachusetts General Hospital and the National Institutes of Health included 17 people.

Researchers examined many symptoms behind long COVID.

They found they may be driven by long-term nerve damage.

Finding the possible link between many symptoms, including rapid heart rate, shortness of breath and cognitive difficulties, could be a step toward finding treatment options.
