State trooper shot, wounded responding to domestic dispute

DEPOSIT, N.Y. (AP) — A New York state trooper was shot and wounded while responding to a domestic dispute in Delaware County, police said.

The trooper was shot shortly after 9 p.m. Wednesday while responding to a report of a domestic dispute in the town of Deposit, state police said in a news release.

The trooper was taken to an area hospital, police said. No information on the trooper’s condition was released.

A suspect was taken into custody, police said. Charges were pending.
