BETHLEHEM – A good Samaritan may have helped save lives Monday morning in Bethlehem.

Police say a fire broke out at a home on Dawson Road just before 7 a.m.

The fire was first reported by a driver who flagged down a police officer.

Several fire departments responded to the scene to put the fire out.

"All of the occupants were out before we got here, and there has been no injuries, knock on wood, so far," said Delmar Fire Chief Dan Ryan.

The Red Cross is helping the family. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
