If you’re living with heart disease, drinking a small amount of alcohol each day may be helpful.

Researchers say light-to-moderate alcohol consumption is linked to a lower risk of having another heart attack, stroke and death.

The largest benefit was seen in people with heart disease who drank an average of six-grams of alcohol a day, which is less than one drink.

This is much less than the recommended upper drinking limit set by the World Health Organization, which is about 12 drinks per week.
