New research finds drinking coffee may actually protect your heart.

Drinking two to three cups of coffee daily has been associated with a 10% to 15% lower risk of getting heart disease, heart failure or a heart rhythm problem.

Researchers in Australia find the benefits applied to both people with and without cardiovascular disease.

Researchers say compounds in coffee could help reduce inflammation, hold back the gut’s absorption of fat, and block receptors involved with abnormal heart rhythms.
