Analysis from Johns Hopkins finds 9% of people who reported using e-cigarettes had pre-diabetes.

Pre-diabetes is reversible, but it is a pre-cursor to Type 2 diabetes, a chronic condition that can lead to heart disease, stroke, kidney failure and other serious complications.

The link between e-cigs and prediabetes is still unclear, but nicotine is known to spike blood sugar levels.
