Stuff the Bus raises thousands for Ukraine

News channel 13 was the only station there when Governor Kathy Hochul stopped by the Stuff the Bus event to drop off supplies Saturday morning at the Howard Goff middle school in East Greenbush.

The school district wanted students to focus on donating personal hygiene products for the people of Ukraine.

Event organizers tell us they’re happy with Saturday’s turnout.

It is “the generosity of people, not just the financial generosity, their talents their strengths. The things people can just give that doesn’t cost anything shines through the light, we’re going to be in a better place for it,” said Rosaire Higgins.

Higgins added cash donations surpassed ten thousand dollars Saturday morning.
