A Berkshire County man was arraigned on murder charges Tuesday in Pittsfield District Court, after police say he shot two people.

One of those victims has now died.

Laquan Johnson, 27, has pleaded not guilty.

It happened Monday afternoon near the intersection of King Street and Von Nida Avenue.

Police say the victims drove themselves to Berkshire Medical Center, where 26-year-old Stephan Curley was taken in to emergency surgery and a woman was treated for non-life threatening injuries.

Unfortunately, Curley died from his injuries.

Johnson is now being held without bail.
