Suspect in custody after standoff at Rotterdam home

ROTTERDAM – Police in Rotterdam took a man into custody at a house at 1417 Curry Road.

It started as a standoff Friday afternoon, and stretched into the early evening.

They say 32-year-old Aaron Merritt threatened another man with a knife during a domestic dispute, then fled inside the home, and claimed he was on drugs.

After hours trying to make contact with Merritt, police found him in the home.
They say no one was hurt.
