Multiple trees and wires were down in the city of Corinth.

Resident Katrina Garland says trees that fell in her yard blocked her car in and kept her from being able to drive.“The tree was across the power lines, she said. I ended up walking almost a half of mile to my girlfriend’s house so I could borrow her car and come in here to work tonight."

Garland says she’s been without power since 1:30pm.

National Grid says their crews are working around the clock trying to restore power back to the thousands that lost it.

Tyler Bennett works at the Subway in Corinth and he says due to the outages they didn’t open until 3pm. "It’s been pretty busy and a lot of people have been coming in because they have no power and no one can cook so we’ve had a lot of business," he said.

National Grid says they sent out extra crews to make sure people get their power back soon.
