Tolls go cashless on Rip Van Winkle Bridge

The Rip Van Winkle Bridge has implemented cashless tolling.

It went into effect Monday.

The bridge crosses the Hudson River, connecting Columbia and Greene counties.

The sensors will read E-ZPass tags. Vehicles without E-ZPass will have their license plates photographed, and the owners will be billed by mail.
