GREENFIELD – It’s the biggest town in Saratoga County, but Greenfield didn’t have its own ambulance service until now.

Greenfield has about 8,200 residents and several thousand more come to town each day to learn or work, so they decided it was time to cut response times.

It’s right across the street from the fire department.

Greenfield Ambulance will be staffed around the clock with an EMT and a paramedic.

Until now, Saratoga County’s biggest town relied on other nearby towns to provide ambulance service. However, the town is growing and the calls for help are going up – 600 just last year.

The new service partners with Corinth, which will still serve its community, but have staff and ambulances based right here in the heart of town.

Town leaders say the new facility on South Greenfield Road will help them get where they’re needed faster.
