A routine traffic stop ends with the arrest of a man with a handgun.

Lasaad Chaney, 33, is under arrest.

The Albany County Sheriff’s Deputies say they were on routine patrol Wednesday, when they saw a man with no seatbelt on.

When the car was pulled over on Livingston Avenue, they say Chaney jumped out of the car and ran. Deputies chased after him. Police say he had a loaded semi-automatic handgun.

Further investigation also found that Chaney had prior felony convictions for selling crack cocaine in Albany.

He is in the Albany County Jail.
