Troy announces 2022 budget proposal

Troy Mayor Patrick Madden has released his proposed budget for 2022.

Mayor Madden says it’s a nearly $78 million spending plan that calls for a 2.8% property tax increase. This is the fifth straight year the proposed increase is below the state property tax limit.

The mayor calls his plan "fiscally responsible" and says it will improve city operations and services through targeted investments.

The full City Council will have to approve the budget.
