TROY – Members of the Troy City Council are calling for the South Troy Pool to be free for anyone who lives in the Collar City.

City Council President Carmella Mantello and Council Member Kim Ashe-McPherson are proposing fees be waived for this year.

They say the pandemic has taken a toll on everyone, and this is just a small way to provide some relief. Mantello says waiving the fees will also be a way to keep kids out of the streets this summer.

They were expected to introduce the legislation at a meeting Thursday evening.
