TSA hiking fees for people refusing to wear masks on planes

The Transportation Security Administration is hiking fines for travelers who refuse to follow a federal mask mandates while on planes.

The TSA is doubling those fines as part of President Biden’s new strategy to fight coronavirus.

The new penalties will range from $500 to $1,000 for first time offenders and $1,000 to $3,000 for second offenses.

These new fines will take effect Friday.
