AMSTERDAM – Four adults and three children are getting help from the Red Cross after a house fire early Tuesday in Amsterdam.

It started around midnight at 80 Ames St. The Red Cross says it was a two-family home.

Thankfully no one was hurt.

One firefighter on scene said because of the staffing shortages, which NewsChannel 13 has been reporting on, they had to call in extra help to fight the fire.
