Two people recovering after car crashes into building in Albany

ALBANY – Two people are recovering after a car crashed into a building following a Monday evening chase involving Albany County sheriff’s deputies.

The vehicle hit a church and another driver on Western Avenue and South Lake Avenue.

The sheriff’s department says the suspect, a 34-year-old man who was on parole for a violent crime, was stopped for traffic violations when he took off.

Both the suspect and the driver that the suspect hit were taken to the hospital.
