US marks one year since first COVID shot

Tuesday marked one year that the first COVID-19 vaccines were sent out in the U.S.

Pfizer’s two dose vaccine was the first to get FDA approval for emergency use.

The first shipments were made on December 14, 2020.

Since those first shots went into arms, nearly 500 million doses have been administered. More than 200 million Americans are fully vaccinated.
