Two people were rescued over the weekend after their vehicles fell through thin ice on Richmond Pond in Berkshire County.

An ATV fell into the water a couple of hundred feet from shore on Friday night.

The next morning, a pickup truck partially sank in the same place.

Richmond’s fire chief told our media partners at The Berkshire Eagle that first responders were on standby as both owners managed to get their vehicles out of the water.
