Vermont hospital lowering carbon footprint

A Vermont hospital is getting praise for lowering its carbon footprint.
Southwestern Vermont Medical Center has been named an “energy leader” by Efficiency Vermont.
Efficiency Vermont is the first completely energy efficient utility. The company awarded the designation to seven large commercial and industrial customers.
Southwestern Vermont Medical Center recently completed renovations that will reduce carbon emissions by 575,000 pounds.
