Vermont State Health Insurance has increased over 50%

Health insurance for state employees in Vermont have increased more than 50% in the last 10 years.

According to a report from Vermont State Auditor, Doug Hoffer, he says providers charged different amounts for the same care. State employees and retirees are not aware of these differences.

Hoffer urged the governor and state legislature to act on his findings.
