NewsChannel 13 salutes US Navy Waves Specialist 2^nd Class Maebelle "Mike" Milian of Queens and later Coxsackie.

The mother served during World War II, controlling the air traffic of blimp sub-chasers out of the Lakehurst Naval Air Station in New Jersey during the War.

She later worked as a registered nurse, and also did lots of volunteer work.
