Whitehall soldier surprises kids at school after long deployment overseas

There was a heartwarming surprise at Whitehall Elementary School on Friday morning.

After three months of training, and nine months in Iraq, Tim Gordon surprised his son and daughter.

They thought he wouldn’t be home until Sunday.

His wife, Sarah, works at the school.

Gordon says a lot of careful coordination went into this top secret mission – and he couldn’t have done it without the school’s help.
