It’s called “Love on the Spectrum,” and for Emma Hodgson of Wilton, the show is a fun way to let the world know that people with autism are just like everyone else.

The 2011 Saratoga Springs High School grad has a prominent role in the Netflix hit.

She’s matched up with James, and they go on a couple of dates, and he asks her for a third. Hodgson agrees to go, but only as friends.

She says letting him down was the hardest part.

Hodgson was diagnosed with Asperger’s Syndrome at the age of 4. Because of hard work and the advocacy of her parents, she excelled in high school and college. However, Hodgson says she spent much of her childhood trying to fit in.
