Woman dies after being hit by car in Schenectady

SCHENECTADY – Police say a woman has now died after being hit by a car in Schenectady.
It happened near 1020 Crane Street around 7:30 Thursday night.
Police say 65-year-old Anna Escobar of Schenectady later died at Albany Medical Center.
They say the driver of the vehicle stopped and is cooperating with police.
Police say they do not believe drugs or alcohol were factors.
The investigation is ongoing.
