Erin Duckett grew up in the family business. Her dad started Yankee Trails 60+ years ago. However, as the baby of the family, she never wanted to be in the family business.
"I was going to be a teacher. I went to school to be a teacher," she explained.
In fact, she says none of the seven kids wanted to be in the bus business.
In 2008, a trip to California to a bus association conference with a big brother changed her mind.
Nearly eight years later, when there was an opening in the tour department, that same big brother suggested she take it. She did.

In the midst of a pandemic, she now runs the marketing department. As the first woman to head the department, she has an all-female team and wants to bring the fun back to bus travel.
She says her dad, who has passed, would be happy that she’s a rising star in the company.
