Woman sees big success with Niskayuna-based wedding speech business

A woman with a very specific skill is getting a lot of business right now. Karen Lombardo is a speechwriter for weddings.
She does maid of honor speeches, best man speeches, father of the bride speeches, and she even helps with wedding vows.
The business is called My Little Love Note.
To start, she first connects with the person, and chats with them for about an hour.
"The brides are great, the maids of honor are great, the best men – they’re a little more of a challenge," said Lombardo.
She spends hours on each speech, not taking lightly how great of an honor it is to be a part of a couple’s most special day.
The average cost to write a speech is $350.
