Young child recovering after being hit by car in Troy

TROY – A 5-year-old boy is recovering after being hit by a vehicle in Troy. Police say his injuries appear to be minor.
The boy’s family says he’s okay, and was smiling in the hospital bed.
It happened Friday afternoon at 7th Avenue and 103rd and 104th streets. The boy’s family says he was walking across the street with a family member at the time.
The driver cooperated with police.
Police and fire crews have left the scene, but the investigation continues.
