Galway father and son duo Shaun and Shamus Evans started running together in 2013 at the Firecracker 4. Ever since then Shamus, who was born with cerebral palsy, has made it his mission to team up with dad while also helping others with disabilities like his. In 2015, the two ran 3,200 miles across the United States from Seattle to New York City in the span of 60 days. During that run, they donated jogging chariots to other children with special needs so that they could feel what it was like to roll with the wind. Monday, the two were back at the race that started it all along with younger brother Simon on the 4th of July holiday.
