Excitement was building in Albany on Friday as the NCAA tournament games tipped off at the MVP Arena.
The Sports Foundation of the Capital Region hosted block parties – including one Friday morning.
There were four games set for Friday, part of two sessions.
The parties in between each session will feature food trucks and vendors stationed outside of the MVP Arena along South Pearl Street.
The NCAA block party is not just about basketball, it’s about bringing people together to celebrate the spirit of the tournament.
Fans are mingling, taking selfies with their friends, and enjoying the various activities that have been organized by the city and the NCAA.
If you don’t have tickets, you’re in luck. Each game will be displayed on two large video boards outside the arena.
