Shaker grad Jeff Hoffman is headed to the Major League Baseball All-Star Game next week in Arlington, Texas after a brilliant season so far in Philadelphia.
Hoffman, who made his major league debut with the Colorado Rockies in 2016, has an ERA of 1.21 with eight saves in 38 games coming out of the pen for the first-place Phillies.
Hoffman has pitched for the Rockies Reds and now Philadelphia, where he has been a perfect fit for a team that could win the World Series.
