Shorthanded Shen softball team falls to Clarence 1-0 in state championship game

A shorthanded Shenendehowa softball team fell to Clarence 1-0 in Saturday’s Class AA state championship on Long Island. Bre Hayes pitched a complete game and only gave up one run in the top of the 11th inning in the loss. The Plainsmen were without seven seniors who chose to go to Saturday’s prom instead of playing in the game. See highlights and reaction here.
