Gerry McNamara, 40, will be Siena men’s basketball head coach.
NewsChannel 13’s Rodger Wyland reported this earlier this week. The official announcement was made on Friday morning.
McNamara spent the last 15 years on staff at Syracuse University, working his way up to associate head coach. He is also a graduate of that school.
McNamara will be formally introduced at a press conference on Tuesday at 1 p.m. at MVP Arena.
He replaces Carmen Maciariello, who was recently fired after a dismal 4-28 season for the Saints.
