Albany man accused of stealing from vehicles

Albany man accused of stealing from vehicles in Sand Lake.

An Albany man has been charged in connection with thefts from vehicles.

Albert G. Lindh, 34, is accused of stealing credit cards and attempting to use them in East Greenbush.

This began on Dec. 13, when State Police received a complaint of of several vehicles being broken into in Sand Lake.

Troopers found Lindh walking in an area where he had allegedly tried to use a credit card. He had property police said he stole from the vehicles, plus several glass smoking devices with drug residue. Lindh was not cooperative, police said.

Police also found property reportedly stolen from East Greenbush in the overnight hours of Dec. 11-12.

Lindh was charged with six counts of criminal possession of stolen property, seven counts of grand larceny, five counts of petit larceny, two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance, and obstructing governmental administration.

He was arraigned in Schaghticoke Town Court and sent to the Rensselaer County Jail.
