Albany man gets hefty sentence after Saratoga Honda car vandalism

An Albany man will spend up to 6 years in prison for vandalism at Saratoga Honda.

Sherman Chambers, 50, forcibly took tires off a parked car last August and stole items from several other cars, prosecutors said.

Investigators used surveillance video to track down Chambers’ license plate.

He was later found while trying to steal more things, investigators said.

Chambers must also pay full restitution in addition to the prison sentence of 3 to 6 years.

He is now deemed a second felony offender.
