An armed robber’s crime spree was brought to halt thanks to an ankle tracking bracelet he was wearing.

Police say the suspect from Glens Falls will spend 37 years in prison for robbing two people, while armed with a gun.

How he was caught had nothing to do with his identifying his face.

Joshua Heym, 28, was wearing a mask during the armed robberies. However, he was also wearing an ankle bracelet, as he was on parole for a prior felony conviction. That ankle monitor tracked his movements and placed him at the scene of each crime.

Heym was convicted earlier this year of two counts of second-degree robbery and one count of attempted robbery.
