Bennington Police are looking for a missing man.

Police received a call around 1:30 p.m. on Thursday about Matthew Houskeeper, 59, of North Bennington, not showing up for work. Co-workers requested that officers check his residence, and he was not there. His 2023 white Subaru Crosstek was not in the area, police said.

Houskeeper was last seen on Wednesday in Manchester, Vermont at around 9:30 a.m. at a scheduled appointment. His cell phone is not active, according to police.

Houskeeper is 6 feet, 1 inch tall and weighs 210 pounds. He has gray-blonde hair with blue eyes. His vehicle has Vermont registration HMY330 and has a kayak roof rack and possible blue kayak. He is known to frequent areas for kayaking. Bennington Police are working with Houskeeper’s family and local law enforcement to find him.
