Albany’s New Year’s Scrabble Tournament is starting on Saturday.

More than 100 players will gather at the Marriot Albany on Wolf Road for an intense 28-game showdown.

People are invited to come watch, and get a free tour of the event.

Competition is set to start at noon on Saturday, and last for several hours each day through Jan. 1.
