A blood drive will be held next week in honor of a local woman who lost her battle with cancer.

The event will take place at Aviation Mall in Queensbury on Thursday, June 27 from 11:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

It is in memory of Anjelica Zingarino, who worked at Common Roots Brewing for many years. This is the third year Common Roots is partnering with Marshall and Sterling Insurance to sponsor the blood drive.

Zingarino was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma in April 2021 and died 10 months later.

During her treatment, she received two units of blood a day, which is why she is being honored with this annual blood drive.

Donors will receive vouchers for a pint of beer from Common Roots Brewing as well as a $15 gift card to the merchant of their choice.
