Cambridge community to meet with state over LED streetlight concerns

State officials are with people in the village of Cambridge regarding complaints about LED streetlights.

The New York State Public Service Commission is holding a virtual public hearing on the lights on Wednesday evening.

All streetlights were converted to LEDs four years ago.

Fifty-two people filed a petition a year later, saying the lights were harmful to a resident with epilepsy.

That petition asked National Grid to remove the LED fixtures because they were disrupting sleep and causing headaches.
