The Roarke Center in Troy held a toy giveaway on Thursday, providing gifts to about 800 children.

Catholic Charities said nothing makes them happier than giving gifts to kids in need.

“We are so lucky to have such a generous community to help us get these toys out to folks who need them.” said Jenn Hyde, the executive director of Catholic Charities. Hyde noted a collaboration with Toys for Tots, along with local parishes and civic groups, schools, and people that check the Amazon shopping list.
