Cheshire woman killed in crash

A woman has died after her car crashed into a tree and caught fire in Berkshire County.

The crash happened on Aug. 7 in Lanesborough, but investigators just released the information on Friday.

Investigators were called to 782 and 785 Partridge Road just after 1 p.m.

Firefighters put out the flames and found Susanna Thomas, 47, of Cheshire, dead in the vehicle.

Investigators think she was speeding, and never tried to break.
