The Daily Gazette will soon be under new ownership.
The Hume family and the newspaper’s board of directors have agreed to a deal that will transition their 130-year ownership of the paper from the extended family to longtime Gazette publisher John DeAugustine of Saratoga Springs. DeAugustine has been with the company since 2013.
The Gazette building will be sold, but the newspaper will remain in Schenectady.
