East Greenbush man accused of possessing child pornography

An East Greenbush man is facing child pornography charges.

Ivan J. Schlekat, 21, allegedly had images consistent with child exploitation. His arrest followed an investigation that stemmed from a cyber tip received through the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

Schlekat was charged with promoting a sexual performance by a child and possessing a sexual performance by a child.

He was arraigned in East Greenbush Town Court and released under the supervision of the Rensselaer County Probation Department.
