Education Department seeks help for summer meal program
The New York State Education Department is looking for organizations to help support their summer food service program.
They expect to serve more than 400,000 free summer meals each day.
The program served meals to young people in need at more than 2,500 locations across the state last year.
Any organization that helps sponsor the work receives state and federal reimbursement for each meal served.
Around 400 organizations participated last year.
If you plan to participate, you will have to attend one of the trainings offered in person and online in April.
