Local farmers are receiving a boost for Earth Day, which was Monday.

The Adirondack Council awarded 12 grants totaling $24,500 to local farmers.

This is all part of an effort to support climate friendly economic activity.

The program has awarded more than $240,000 to recipients since 2016.
