Federal money will help upgrade hydroelectric facilities across Upstate New York. Some of that money is coming to the Capital Region.
Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., announced nearly $11 million from the U.S. Department of Energy.
Of that money, around $2.6 million will go to GR Catalyst II, LLC in on the Batten Kill River in Greenwich.
Another $675,000 is earmarked for GR Catalyst One, LLC on the Hudson River in Stillwater.
