Fonda lifts boil water notice after over a month

The village of Fonda has lifted its boil water advisory after more than a month.

The advisory went into effect on June 28 after a water tank at the water filtration plant spilled into the village reservoir. Now all restrictions on outdoor water use are removed, the village said.

Village officials are asking people to flush their faucets, appliances, hot water tanks and replace water filters to make sure your home is free of any contaminants.
