A former Saratoga Springs Public Works commissioner Tom McTygue dies.
Former Saratoga Springs Public Works Commissioner Tom McTygue has died.
McTygue is believed to have been the longest serving council member in the city’s history, serving 32 years.
He was passionate about the city and its appearance and infrastructure.
McTygue took great pride in restoring Congress Park to the popular destination it is today and was the driving force behind acquiring and relocating the famed carousel to the park in 2002.
